Set due dates for implementation.

Establishing firm deadlines helps maintain momentum and keeps the optimization process on schedule.

Provide a Quick Reference Guide (QRG) to support ongoing improvements.

A well-structured QRG offers employees a handy resource to reinforce best practices and maintain consistency in daily operations.

Client’s milestones & action steps to focus on

The process starts with a summary of well-established good practices, followed by an evaluation of areas requiring improvement. We analyze current challenges, explaining their negative impact on business operations. From there, we develop a structured solution, highlighting its benefits and outlining clear action steps.

Assign task owners to ensure accountability.

Clearly defining responsibility for each step ensures that actions are completed efficiently and progress is consistently tracked.

Follow-Up Call: Tracking Progress & Overcoming Challenges

After the completion of each milestone and associated tasks it's important to review  progress, address identified challenges, and reinforce the importance of the process improvements.

Continuous assessment of completed and uncompleted action steps, identifying any roadblocks or issues that may be hindering progress should be conducted. If necessary, the reasons behind these challenges should be revisited to ensure clarity and alignment to drive continuous improvement.

Masking Bay Questions?

Spray Booth Questions?

Make sure all vehicles are masked for top coating in workshop/masking bay (not booth)

Ensure all painters using back masking techniques and products

When windscreens stay on vehicle, they need to be taped with appropriate back masking

Utilise door aperture foam and fine line tape in the masking process

All waste needs to be removed from the Spray Booth before the next vehicle enters the work bay

Ensure the technician is following the Topcoat Application process chart in the Spray Booth and using the correct products

Ensure plastic film is cut and placed on or with the vehicle before moving into Spray Booth

Make sure airline hoses are cleaned down before spraying in the booth

Ensure all jobs tack ragged before base coat is applied

Painters use transfer efficient spray guns to apply topcoats

Ensure the air pressure checked and the appropriate pressure used for the spray gun

Implement correct flash off times and observe according to the product TDS

Spray Guns are cleaned immediately after spraying

The correct temperature and drying time are used for the product being applied as per the product TDS

Ensure Infra-Red drying used

Ensure vehicles are removed from the Spray Booth immediately after the baking cycle is complete

Ensure the next vehicle masked and waiting to enter the Spray Booth before the drying cycle is complete
